Camping Spot Description
Dahlet ix-Xmajjar | Limiti tal-Mellieha, Mellieha, Island of Malta, Malta Follow the signs from the Red Tower - it is a bit off the beaten track but lots of Maltese use this area. This has not to be confused with the Malta campsite - this is a wild camping area with signs provided by the council. Camping by permit.
Getting There
Directions: 
Turn right at the Red Tower just past teh large beach at Mellieha - follow the signs From the airport it is approximately 45 minutes drive to the camping area. Follow the signs for Gozo ferry terminal. After passing through Mellieha Bay - climbing up the winding hill - at the top of the winding hill up come to the brow (Red Tower on the hill side to your left) - turn right Look for camping signs along this road.
Access: 
Some areas can be accessed by car. A 4x4 isn't necessary areas are by the road side or quite near:-) Also search for wild camping on Comino or Gozo.

This campsite had been removed from the forum - the owner must have decided he would rather not appear on here because of the truthful remarks that had been posted about the him and his site. Just for the record I kept a copy for you all.

Hi There - I used to own mobile homes on this site - he stole from me big time and all the other mobile home owners - I ended up submitting to his blackmail. I ended up with a faction of the mobile homes worth or I had six weeks to move them off (there is nowhere to move them to) - please warn everyone you can in as many languages as you can because he needs to be brought to the attention of the MTA . Yours faithfully

How would you feel if you had spent 30,000.00 on a mobile home then he makes it impossible for you to enjoy your holidays in it. Once you have signed up - you are in a very costly position. Mr Vella - he would say it was YOUR CHOICE. You are then in a situation that he may blackmail you - either sell it to him for a fraction of its worth or he will tell you to move it off the site. Yes - not nice - he tricks people and laughs because there is nowhere else to move the mobile home to on Malta - however this is going to be addresses by the next government.

Today the Maltese way of doing business is out of date and not acceptable anymore. Mr X plays on sympathy to win people over - he lost his villa for the campsite - what a load of shit!! He didn't want to declare his income because it was all in cash - if the authorities knew he would be done for fraud again.

We dearly wanted to place a complaint with MEPA last year when we came to see you – but we were too scared at that time. Mr Vella would have made our life hell. He had already threatened some of us – he told me personally ‘NEVER TO CROSS HIM’ because I knew so much about the ins/outs of the business.

The Malta Campsite - Malta Caravans and camping - Adventure campsite - whatever he wishes to call it will always be run and managed the same way as he always has. His own words to me - 'I've been this way for 30 years I'm not going to change now'

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN UNTIL A NEW OWNER CAN BE INSTALLED!!!

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST - UNLESS YOU HAVE BUCKET OF MONEY TO GIVE MR VELLA
